Wasp & Bees

We deal with wasp nests, bee colonies and hornets. We offer free advice and a free bee swarm collection service on provision that there is reasonable access allowing us to get to it easily, and providing you are within reasonable travelling distance.

Whether we attend for a wasp nest, bee colony, hornets or honey bee swarm we suggest that when we arrive at your property we suggest that you close any windows and doors, ensure that your children and pests are safely inside, and should you want to, watch from a suitable spot inside. This is because our actions are likely to cause some disturbance that may lead to some aggressive defensive behavior from the group.

A small percentage of people can have a very adverse reaction to a sting leading to anaphylactic shock, this does not occur on the first occasion one is stung but may occur as a result of any subsequent sting after the first occasion. For those that don’t suffer from an anaphylactic shock it’s still not much fun.

We always wear full protection when dealing with wasps and bees for this reason.

You will hear about people that handle a bee swarm completely unprotected relying on the principle that the bees are full of food and more interested in finding a new home, however we don’t know if the swarm is less than an hour old or if its been swarming for 3 days, and once a single bee has stung the protection mode turns on and they all pile in.
